Day to Day Itinerary:

You will meet your tour leaders and guides in the morning. You will also meet the rest of the group members.

The introductions will be followed by a brief from the tour leaders. The brief aims to provide an explanation for this safari experience, language and customs of the region, what you will be discovering and learning, and why specific activities were chosen.

You will then head off for a 30 minute drive to Kampala where you will tour the city. You will start with a drive on the outskirts as you hear more about the history of Kampala and Uganda.

Visit the old taxi park the central system of transportation in the city, see the iconic building including churches, mosques etc Stop for lunch and then proceed on a 3 hour drive to Jinja town where you will spend the night.

After a leisurely breakfast, we will head into Jinja town where we will walk around the historic main street and markets of Jinja. You will have the opportunity to explore this historic town on Jinja where the Nile starts its descent to Egypt.

Gain insight, and contribute towards, some of the projects that sustain livelihoods of marginalised people through creative entrepreneurship.

In the afternoon we will head to the shores of lake Vitoria where a banana boat awaits us. We will start our cruise on Lake Victoria then head onto the river Nile following the flow of the famous waterway. We will stop at the source of the Nile where we will learn more about the Nile and its charming relevance to world at large. If lucky, we will enjoy the sunset as we make our way back to the lake shores.

Today we will embark on the journey to Murchison Falls NP. We will drive for 3 hours before we stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where we will go rhino trekking on foot. At the sanctuary we will earn more about the efforts to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda and the remarkable conservation efforts that have yielded results as the number of rhinos has increased.

After trekking we will stop for lunch then resume our journey to Murchison Falls where we will arrive in the evening hours.

We will start off with a boat cruise on rive Nile. The cruise will take us to the bottom of the Murchison falls. Along the way expect to see crocodiles, hippopotami, otters, monitor lizards, elephants and other aquatic mammals and birds.

At the bottom disembark from the boat and start a wilderness hike up to the top of Murchison Falls. This hike is one of the secret hikes as it reveals the falls from different angles.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a leisurely swim.

In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through the endless savannah grasslands on Murchison Falls NP. On this game drive you will look out for big mammals including elephants, giraffe, leopard, lion, buffalo, antelope and many more. We will also look out for birds and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Awaken early to start on your 6 -7 hour drive to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. You will arrive in the late afternoon hours and settle in at the lodge for the night’s stay.

After an early breakfast head to Kibale Forest for the exhilarating experience of trekking chimpanzees in their natural habitat. This will take you deep into a tropical forest where you will see chimpanzee families. You will gain an insight into the conservation efforts and how visits such as yours are crucial to the conservation efforts of chimpanzees in the wild. Learn more about these great apes who share 98% dna with humans.

Break for lunch. In the evening Maggie will lead you in an hours’ yoga session in one of Uganda's beautiful locations

You will set off at 08:00am for Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive at the lodge in time for your lunch. Afterwards head out for lunch then set off for a boat cruise along the beautiful Kazinga channel. The channel is teeming with aquatic wildlife like crocodiles and various bird species that flock this area. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on the journey through Queen Elizabeth as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is arguably one of Uganda’s most scenic route as the journey takes you through savannah grasslands and tropical rainforests.

Stop for lunch and a game drive in the Ishasha sector where with a little luck, you will get to see the elusive tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector. Thereafter you will embark on the final leg of the journey to Bwindi where you will arrive in the late evening hours.

Arise early for breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00am for briefing. Thereafter, the rangers will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trackers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails.

Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe these pacific primates in their natural habitat. Watch the gorillas eat, groom and play. After the days’ activities return to the lodge for tree planting as a sign of conservation efforts. Settle in for dinner and the night’s stay

You will be driven for about 2.5 hours to Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in time for your lunch. Thereafter spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and unwinding of the past experiences of your safari.

Have a leisurely breakfast, thereafter your will set off for a tour around the beautiful islands of Bunyonyi. Return in the afternoon for a rest.

After your leisurely breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Kigali where you will spend the night.

After your hearty breakfast, tour Kigali town as you visit the genocide monument. Here you will listen to stories of how the genocide events form the past in Rwanda. Thereafter also visit the craft market in Kigali town.
