Day to Day Itinerary:

You will meet your guide who will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe.

Start off with a Kampala city tour. Experience this vibrant metropolis and learn more about the city that is at the heart of Uganda’s rapid urbanisation and growth. Visit the iconic buildings and hills that make up this city of over 3 million residents. Highlights include the Gadhaffi Mosque, downtown taxi park and hill top views. You will thereafter be transferred to Jinja.

On this day, you can opt to have a village cultural tour where you get to learn about the traditional aspects of agriculture, history and African society. After your lunch, you can also enjoy a sunset boat cruise that goes to the source of the Nile.

You will set off at 06:45am for Murchison Falls. Break-off for lunch before you proceed for an evening game drive. On the game drive expect to see giraffes, elephant and buffalo among other grazers. With a little luck lions and other big cats might be seen too. Return to the lodge for the night’s stay.

Awaken early to the beautiful sounds of the wild and start the day with a game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls. Look out for night dwellers including the leopards, lions and hyenas, which, with a little luck, we will see before they retire to their dwelling places.

After your lunch break, sail to the bottom of Murchison Falls as you enjoy sights of aquatic birds and the breathtaking views of the water falls. Return to the lodge.

Awaken early to start on your 6 - 7 hour drive to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. You will arrive in the late afternoon hours and settle in at the lodge for the night’s stay.

Arise early and head into the Kibale forest with the ranger guide to track these fascinating primates. Once found, watch the chimpanzees at close proximity and observe as they go about their business in their natural habitat. Spend the afternoon in the wetlands of Bigodi where you will see numerous birds in this part of the area.

Set off at 10:00am for Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive at the lodge in time for your lunch. Afterwards, you will embark on an evening game drive. Whilst on the game drive look out for the big cats like lions, leopards and other big game like elephants plus buffalos. Return to the lodge for the night’ stay.

Set off early to embark on the journey through Queen Elizabeth as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is arguably one of Uganda’s most scenic route as the journey takes you through savannah grasslands and tropical rain forests. Stop for lunch and a game drive in the Ishasha sector where with a little luck, you will get to see the elusive tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector. Thereafter you will embark on the final leg of the journey to Bwindi where you will arrive in the early evening  hours.

Arise early for breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00am for briefing. Thereafter, the rangers will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Gorilla trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trackers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails. Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe these pacific primates in their natural habitat. Watch the gorillas eat, groom and play. After the days’ activities return to the lodge for dinner and the night’s stay.

You will be driven for about 2.5 hours to Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in time for your lunch. Thereafter spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and unwinding of the past experiences of your safari.

Arise early and embark on the 9 hour drive that takes you along the equator crossing and eventually back to Entebbe where you will arrive in the evening.
