Experience the greatest show on earth as the million-strong herds of Wildebeest journey through the savannah plains in the eternal search for fresh green pastures. The annual migration sees 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebras and antelopes traverse the plains in a circular orbit. When the herds reach the Mara, they must cross the river, creating a wildlife phenomenon like no other.
Day to day itinerary details
Scheduled Flight from Wilson Airport to Masai Mara
After breakfast, we’ll take a short flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival, we’ll make our way to the camp with a game drive en route. We’ll arrive at our camp set in a unique location to optimize safari game viewing. After lunch, we’ll set off for a game drive as we ease our way into the Masai Mara.
Masai Mara Adventures
We spend the days exploring the plains as we chase the migrating herds. After discussing your preferences with the guides, we’ll embark on game drives to make the most of the time in this unique habitat. We will explore the remote areas of the Mara and follow herds to the spectacular Mara River where we can witness the famous river crossings. Expect to see high concentrations of wildlife as predators take full advantage of the season of bounty and as the herds fight for survival. On days we’ll spend full days on safari with our packed lunches. We’ll look out for uncrowded vantage points to get the most of the action. Expect to see part of the 1.5 million-strong herds of wildebeest, lions, leopards, cheetahs and other cats as the bounty of migration. You will also embark on an enchanting walk in the grasslands with a Maasai guide who will share more about traditional lifestyles and the ecology of the area. and a visit a Maasai community in the area to learn more about life in this area.

After a leisurely breakfast, we will fly to Nairobi, where your safari will end.
